Matthew Classi, Principal, GCP Capital Group LLC
Matthew Classi has been involved in Commercial Real Estate Finance for over 16 years.
Prior to that, he spent several years in the appraisal field preparing for his current
position.
After 9 years of specializing in the arrangements of commercial mortgage loans, Mr. Classi
co-founded GCP Capital Group LLC with partners' Paul Greenbaum and Alan Perlmutter in
1996. GCP Capital Group is considered one of the nation's leaders in Investment Property
finance responsible for arranging hundreds of loan transactions annually with total
fundings well in excess of $1,000,000,000 annually. In addition, Mr. Classi's firm has
been a leader in arranging construction financing that has helped construct and
rehabilitate countless housing units in the New York Metropolitan area.
Mr. Classi is a long standing member of the Real Estate Board of New York, as well as a
member of the REBNY Finance Committee, the Mortgage Bankers Association of New York and
the Community Bankers' Mortgage Forum.
Mr. Classi graduated as a business major in 1987 from Long Island University and enjoys
golf, skiing and boating.
